Internationally Renowned Jazz Band Pieces of a Dream will Perform


July 22, 2007 (Lexington, Kentucky) – The African American Forumis proud to present Smooth Jazz at Equus Run Vineyards featuring internationally renowned contemporary jazz band Pieces of a Dream.The event takes placeSaturday, August 2, with gates opening at 4 p.m., followed by dinner provided by Dunn & Company Catering from 5 – 7 p.m., and the concert at 7:30 - 9 p.m.  The African American Forum is proud to hold its Smooth Jazz event for the second year at Equus Run Vineyards as part of the summer “Concerts at the Vineyard” series. 


“Last year’s Smooth Jazz event at Equus Run was extremely popular,” commented African American Forum President John E. Cole, III.   “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Equus Run and offer audiences more than just a concert.  We’re providing a truly unique and memorable entertainment experience.”
Jazz band, Pieces of Dream, emerged out of Philadelphia in 1976 and will perform more than three decades of musical artistry.  Keyboardist James Lloyd and drummer Curtis Harmon entertain audiences with a mix of styles from jazz and R&B to hip-hop and funk.  Visit for more information.

General admission tickets, which include a barbeque picnic dinner, are $45 and can be purchased online at or by contacting the African American Forum at 859.255.2653.   There are also a limited number of VIP tables of ten (10) available for $500 per table.  Net proceeds will benefit the African American Forum Capital Campaign Fund. Participants are invited to bring lawn chairs and fold-up tables to Equus Run Vineyards as the mood is set for an enchanting entertainment experience.
