July 20, 2010 (Lexington, Kentucky) – The African American Forum, Inc. (AAF) officially announced that this year’s Private Label Wine will be produced by Lovers Leap Vineyards & Winery. Smooth Jazz Amore’ will be released on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Lovers Leap Vineyards & Winery located at 1180 Lanes Mill Road in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
This is the third year that the AAF has partnered with a Kentucky based Vineyard & Winery with the objective of highlighting the value of Kentucky’s proud vineyard & winery industry. “Aside from the fact that wine pairs well with good food and great music, our goal with this concept is to highlight the best of Kentucky produced wine and art,” said John E. Cole III, President and CEO of the African American Forum.
The artwork on the front of the label features a replica of the original Monoprint by Louisville native and Lexington-based artist Garry R. Bibbs, which this year is titled “Southern Jazz Groove”. Bibb’s artwork has graced the front of all three (3) bottles that have been produced. His interpretation of the Jazz genre and the artist’s who bring their craft to Kentucky is profound. “I’m truly edified and grateful to the AAF for their continued efforts to support and expose the work of Kentucky based artists like me and others. It undoubtedly has given me access to audiences who are connoisseurs of art, culture and entertainment; attracted to the Smooth Jazz Fest annually from the Lexington-Bluegrass Region, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and beyond I can share my vision of fine art with,” states Bibbs.
Amore` White is delicious with pasta dishes (especially with cream sauces), fish, pork, bacon and pancetta, mild cheeses, Asian cuisine, couscous, crab cakes, Creole, crudités, egg dishes, Indian cuisine, lamb, and anti-pasto; rich desserts, like a nice slice of chocolate meringue pie or simply a milk chocolate truffle.
The private label will be available exclusively at Lovers Leap Vineyards & Winery in a limited quantity of 500 numbered bottles. “We couldn’t be more pleased to be selected as the official licensee of the 2010 Smooth Jazz Private Label wine for this years event at Spindletop Hall,” said Logan Leet, Winemaker and Owner of Lovers Leap Vineyards & Winery.
